Substantial revision, not basic information (this revision course neither can nor should substitute regular lectures and/or self-study).
Repetition of the examination subjects (comprehending all parts of civil law including PIL) on the basis of cases; in regard to the special didactical approach not appropriate for beginners.
On the basis of substantial case materials (provided via OLAT -> registration obligatory!) we shall discuss all parts of civil law, particularly those specifically relevant for the exam. Since preparation focusses on the written test, discussion shall lead to model case solutions by applying the basis-for-claim-method; at the same time, fundamental principles are being recapitulated (in question-answer-style) thus requiring students' preparation and knowledge. - Questions and contributions relating to the respective topics welcome!
No marking/grading arranged since the success of this revision course remains to be seen at the outcome of the "official" exam.
Standard textbooks (e.g. Koziol/Welser; Verlag Österreich-Textbook series) and printout of case materials for preparation.
Bring your law texts in class!
Substantial knowledge of civil law by attending regular courses and self-study, since the revision course aims at exam preparation.
Students who have taken part regularly and have not missed more than a fifth of the hours are given the confirmation "Participated with success" (0,5 ECTS).
