Acquisition of basic knowledge of the Italian civil, constitutional and administrative law, including comparative law and European law aspects.

The course consists of lessons in private and public law. The lessons will be held in German, but with attention to Italian legal terminology.

Public law:

1. Basic concepts of law and public law: law and legal norm; subsumption and interpretation; sources of law; division of law; public corporations; separation of powers

2. EU law: development; organs; primary and secondary law; economically relevant primary law; special legal effects; constitutional foundations

3. International law: definition; sources of law; classification in Italy

4. Constitutional law: basic concepts; structure of the Italian constitution; main features of regional law; foundations of South Tyrol autonomy

5. Administrative law: concept, objectives and tasks of the public administration; administrative action; administrative acts and measures; administrative procedures; shortcomings of administrative measures

6. Jurisdiction and legal protection vis-à-vis the public administration

Private law:
A brief introduction to private law(the norm for the private sector, the norm for the national sector, the norm for the private sector, the norm for the international sector, the norm for the interpretation, the report for the private sector and the situation for the vegetative sector), i soggetti dell'attività giuridica (capacità giuridica, capacità di agire, limitazione), i soggetti dell'attività giuridica (capacità giuridica, capacità di agire, limitazione)

Private law: written test in Italian with open-ended answers at the end of the semester.
Public law: Multiple choice test with questions and answers formulated in German and Italian at the end of the semester.

Private law: the material will be discussed during lesson

Public law:The material will be made available on OLAT. Further information will be provided during the first lesson.
