Curr. 2021 § 5 (1) 13: Students acquire the ability to individually plan (research and study design, research hypoth-eses or heuristics, survey and evaluation procedure) and implement (data collection and eval-uation as well as result presentation) an empirical sociological research project as well as to relate theory, methodology and empirical research.

Mainly on their own students will plan (eg. research design, research hypothesis, or research heuristics, survey and evaluation procedure) and conduct (data collection and data analysis plus presentation of results) their own empirical sociological research project. Throughout the research students should establish links between the theory, methodology, and empirical research.

The methods which are needed for the respective research project (see Content).
