Basic knowledge of the concepts, methods, issues and theories of the philosophy of the good life; in-depth knowledge of selected issues and theories; formation of ethical problem awareness.

The lecture offers an overview of the terms, methods, questions and theories of ethics with a focus on life-world questions regarding a good way of life.

Already in antiquity, ethics was understood in European philosophy as the philosophy of the art of living, i.e. of a successful, happy life. Since the modern age, special challenges have arisen here, and the question of the prerequisites of a philosophy of the art of living and its possible content with regard to life-world issues applies.
