The students get to know various institutions that deal (regularly or from time to time) with Slavic or Eastern European literatures and cultures, with visual and musical arts, with traces of contemporary history and with people from Eastern Europe, not least refugees from Ukraine. They learn about the fields of activity associated with these institutions and can open up professional perspectives for themselves.

Beyond the university, the Master's students will get to know numerous institutions that deal with Slavic literatures and cultures and people from Eastern Europe in Innsbruck and the surrounding area. For this purpose, we will probably visit the Literaturhaus am Inn, the Haymon publishing house, art spaces, theatres, cinemas, but also institutions that care for Ukrainian refugees. We will listen to readings and lectures, conduct interviews and, if possible, actively participate in events (e.g. by writing critiques or reviews).The students can get to know different professional fields in this way.

Setting up and conducting inverviews, writing critiques and reviews, field trips.

Short written text (essay, critique etc.); individual arrangements may be made.

Will be adapted to the specific program of the winter semester and to the events in Innsbruck and the surrounding area.
