Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture

The early Netherlandish painting is a parallel phenomenon of the painting of the early Renaissance in Italy and represents the vanguard of new-age development of the occidental painting. The topics of the presentations should introduce the leading masters of Flemish and Dutch painting of the 15th century and work out the innovative moments in the range of style, iconography, the history of genres and the individual paintings
