Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture

The early Netherlandish painting is a parallel phenomenon of the painting of the early Renaissance in Italy and represents the vanguard of new-age development of the occidental painting. The topics of the presentations should introduce the leading masters of Flemish and Dutch painting of the 15^th century and work out the innovative moments in the range of style, iconography, the history of genres and the individual paintings
