Overview of various aspects and topics of contemporary European history; Development of an understanding of the dimensions, problems and methods of contemporary European history.

Concept of Europe, history of the EU, European institutions, identity, historical politics, economy, culture, European public sphere, migration, external perception, etc.

Individual acquirement of a historical survey; oral presentations and handouts, research paper, discussion; internet search, exercises.

Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, active participation in discussions, oral presentation, written paper (10-15 pp.)
