Basic concepts and methods from the theory of quantum information and computation.

Attendees of this module should fully understand the contents of the lecture as well as reproduce and  apply them. They should have acquired the skill to work out further topics of the theory of quantum information on their own.

  • Basic protocols in quantum information and communication
  • Entanglement and Bell inequalities
  • Quantum algorithms
  • Quantum error correction
  • Quantum communication over noisy channels 
  • Models of quantum computing
  • Elements of quantum machine learning

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Dates for the oral examination will be offered in the week of 6.2.-10.2.2023.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
