The students know the most important schools of economic thought, their represents and their standpoints. They can comprehend the development of these economical schools in the historical context and use their lessons for economical analysis.

Based on the classification by Chang (2014), the 9 most important economic schools of thought will be discussed:

Austrian, Behaviouralist, Classical, Developmentalist, Institutionalist, Keynesian, Marxist, Neoclassical and Schumpeterian. Formation, represents and standpoints, but also weaknesses will be examined.

More, heterodox schools of thought well be covered.
