800911 VU Video gamEs foR Skills trAining (VERSA) - Goal Setting
winter semester 2022/2023 | Last update: 03.10.2022 | Place course on memo listThe participants are able to plan and establish objectives over time of a work projects and are able to generate measurable milestones.
Also known as Results Orientation, goal setting is the process of deciding what you want to achieve and devising a plan to achieve the result you want. Participants will work on their skills by playing an action video game and participating in interactive sessions.
The participants have to play a video game for a minimum of 12 hours between 1 October and 30 November and reach certain in game achievements. A coaching session is used for reflection and to shine light on various aspects of the skill. During this entire period students will have support to solve technical and game problems.
Progress will be evaluated by standardized tests which will be answered pre- and post-training. In addition achievements within the video game are tracked and analyzed. All participants will receive a a softskill map visualizing their skills.
Participation in one Coaching Session and at least one Additional Session (free to choose) is mandatory to complete the course. We will have 3 groups for the Coaching Session, please indicate with your registration which group you prefer.
The Additional Session “Introduction to the Project” will introduce the VERSA project and is especially recommended for all who have not participated in previous VERSA course.

The game runs only on Windows PCs not under Mac or Linux.
