Students get to know advanced mathematical methods especially suitable for solving problems in technical applications. They gain sufficient theoretical knowledge to judge applicability of mathematical methods and algorithms in specific situations. They are able to apply these methods to real life problems.

Contents:

Advanced multidimensional calculus, partial differential equations, Fourier series, discrete Fourier transform, calculus of variations, variational principles of the finite element method
