We will try to answer the question what the importance of embodiment for our life is.

Our body is both an object that can be studied by the sciences as well as our subjective perspective on the world. In the lecture, we will discuss this tension by drawing on the work of Jean-Paul Sartre, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and others.

Lecture with discussion.

Oral exam (ca. 15 minutes).
