In this interdisciplinary seminar, students deepen their knowledge of Italian constitutional law, South Tyrolean autonomy law, European law and international law. They acquire the ability to independently work on central legal questions in these matters and to deepen them in academic discussion. They master the relevant methods to write a diploma or master's thesis in one of the subjects mentioned or across subjects.
Starting from the climate conference in Cairo and the European Commission's Green Deal, current legal issues of sustainability in constitutional, European and international law will be addressed. An interdisciplinary workshop with guest speakers is also planned, scheduled for May 2023.
Participants are welcome to propose their own topics.
The seminar is also suitable for diploma students in connection with the preparation of a diploma thesis in the fields of Italian constitutional law including South Tyrolean autonomy law, European law and international law.
The selected themes are prepared independently by the students on the basis of the material handed out and presented in a short paper. Based on this, the questions are discussed together and deepened. In addition, assistance is given in the preparation of the thesis. Guest lectures and a workshop on current developments in sustainability complete the programme.
Oral presentation and written copy thereof as housework in the amount of 10-15 pages (Studienplan 2001, Österreichisches Diplomstudium) or 25-30 pages (Studienplan 2018), active participation is taken into account in the evalutation.
