Application of theoretical frameworks used in the literature on Public Choice. Independent modeling to explain selected political developments; Development of a Notion of economic efficiency under politically determined constraints.
Student presentations and independent exercises on based on selected literature to complement the main lecture.
The main focus lies on the conceptual and formal-theoretical contributions to the literature on Public Choice. Empirical contributions will be used complementarily for further foundation.
The course will be completed with a written exam. The qualification for this final exam will be the positive evaluation for seminar participation.

- SDG 13 - Climate action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy.
- SDG 14 - Life below water: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
- SDG 15 - Life on land: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
- SDG 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
- SDG 17 - Partnerships for the goals: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
