Curr. 2021 § 5 (1) 5: Students understand the logic of the qualitative research paradigm. They know the most common qualitative methods and can apply them to answer a sociological research question. They will be able to analyze qualitative data in a methodologically controlled manner and present the results clearly in the form of a research report. Overall, they are able to create a qualitative research design and independently carry out the entire research process from the research question to the results report. 

Expert interviews and qualitative content analyses

This course offers an introduction to expert interviews. For this purpose, the participants will delve into a self-selected question, which they will answer by analyzing expert knowledge.

The analysis of the transcribed expert interviews will be done by means of qualitative content analysis.

Within the framework of this course there is enough time to reflect critically on the entire research process.
