Students acquire knowledge and methodical skills on how to plan, design, and control value networks and business processes along the value chain. They learn to know methods and software solutions to manage supply chains.

Describing the Value Chain:  Taxonomy of Manufacturing Systems and Supply Chains, Modeling Material Flows, Linking Planning Concepts and IS Design, Business Processes in Value Chains, SAP-APO.

Cases, plenary and group discussions, reading assignments, student presentations.

Presentations; class participation; exam in lecture "VO Design of IS along the value chain"
