Awareness of the historical dimension of the German language. Knowledge of various historical stages of German (Early High German, Middle High German, Early Modern German) and their characteristics.

Contents:

Survey of German language history. Focus on Middle High German.

Audio-visual assisted lecture and interactive elaboration of contents.

Written exam.
