Acquisition of basic knowledge about the history of mining in the European region of North-South-East Tyrol and Trentino from prehistory to the 20th century. With the help of impulse lectures, original sources and the study of archaeological findings, historical written sources, sketches, plans and maps from the mining environment, the significance of this important economic sector for Tyrolean history will be worked out. In addition, the significance of the mining industry and the use of resources will also be dealt with in the current time slice.
Presentations of the course instructor, discussion of relevant literature, preparation of the presentations of the excursion, individual feedbacks.
Participation in discussions, oral presentations and preparation of a handout and other material for the field trip.

This tutorial can only be attended in association with the corresponding field trip.
