Acquisition of basic skills for dealing with historic sources and presentations of Modern Times as well as skills in presenting the newly acquired knowledge orally as well as in writing. Acquisition of basic knowledge and application of relevant methods aiding scientific research.

For some years the history of globalisation has ranked among the flourishing branches of historical research. Starting from the leading analytical concepts in this field, the course aims primarily at exploring central processes of early modern intercontinental entanglement in their political, economic, social and cultural dimensions. At the same time, we will exercise basic historical methods and forms of presentations with reference to selected examples.
