Students completing this module can deal methodologically correctly with an area of physics and present the results in both written and oral forms that are easy to understand. Other aims are the acquisition of presentation skills, media competence, self and time management, creativity and innovation skills.
The bachelor thesis can be either purely based on literature research or after consulting the supervisor also have an experimental part. For the second option we recommend to register for PR Spezielles Fortgeschrittenenpraktikum B: Optik (704461) with a workload of three full work weeks. Otherwise the Bachelor thesis becomes too time consuming. We recommend to already start the work in Feburary.
Bachelor thesis: written thesis on a topic from experimental physics based on scientific literature to be handed in electronically (PDF) and in two spiral-bound hardcopies, max. 25 pages.
Seminar presentation using Powerpoint or whiteboard, 20 minutes plus 5 min discussion.
