This course covers interstellar absorption lines, radiation processes and HII regions, heating and cooling, interstellar dust and extinction, physical processes for diffuse interstellar gas, warm ionized medium, cosmic rays and magnetic fields, 21cm emission and absorption, dense interstellar medium, and intergalactic medium.

An in-depth knowledge of the various constituents of the interstellar medium, the physical processes and and how they interact.
