The students have specific knowledge of spatial structures, processes shaping space and interactions in the men-environment system of Indonesia. They can apply regionalisations and identify geographical questions.
The course provides an overview of regional characteristics of the men-environment system of Indonesia (especially the island of Java). The thematic focus is on various aspects of physical (natural hazards, geomorphology, etc.) and human geography (urban geography, development research, rural areas, etc.).
Self-exploration, group work, guided tours and discussions with experts
Date of the excursion expected to be 07 July to 15 July 2023.
Attention: The exact excursion dates will be announced in the preliminary meeting. The excursion may therefore be rescheduled forward or backward by max. 2-3 days.
The vaccination and entry requirements in the destination country must be taken into account in any case.
