The students are qualified to work with theories, research methods and the results of research in the field of work and organisational psychology. Furthermore, the course will include a research process which enables the students to conduct their own study and analyse the data. The preliminary results are presented and critically discussed and this will also consider the impact for practical use and healthy work.

Emotion regulation at work is an important predictor of workers` mental health and has become one of the relevant research areas within organisations especially in the context of human service work. The employee-client interaction process is by its nature accompanied with challenging and negative emotions for employees, which need to be regulated because of organisational norms and a successful working process with clients. The course will focus on relevant topics, studies and interventions in the context of emotion regulation and health promotion at the workplace

Oral presentations by the lecturer, quantitative and qualitative research, writing assignments, oral presentations and discussions by the participants.

Examinations using continuous assessment based on written and oral contributions from the students.
