Students are able to understand and interprete the complexness of living conditions in a timber line ecotone.
Given the example of a mountain, students can learn vividly the interaction of the various ecological factors. These include the fields of ecosystem research, botany, microbiology and zoology as well as consequences of land use through agriculture and forestry or tourism. Links between the different areas of studies are demonstrated and students are trained towards the understanding of interdisciplinary approaches in ecology.
Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
