The English-language proseminar "Global Citizenship Education in times of crisis? Introduction to the concept of GCED, SDGs and the Inner Development Goals" is aimed at students of all fields of study. The focus is on the question of how GCED can accompany learners in the field of education (school and extracurricular education, university, adult education, further education and training in companies) to an increasingly complex world in the face of major global crises. What is necessary from the perspective of GCED (attitudes, competences, values, knowledge) to contribute to global sustainable development and an active global citizenship?
The discussion of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) supports the learning process of the heterogeneous, interdisciplinary group. In addition to literature work, various methods of co-creation, self-reflection and project work, smaller excursions to relevant institutions (Caritas Welthaus, Südwind, Impact Hub Tirol, Klimabündnis etc.) in Tyrol and discussions with experts are planned.
NOTE: An excursion day is planned for 9 May, 10:00 - 17:00, outside Innsbruck. Please be sure to keep this day free.
The face-to-face seminar includes interactive, process-oriented, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, literature work, innovative methods of co-creation and group work (service design thinking, anti-bias approach, Betzavta), self-reflection, project design and implementatio, visits to institutions active in the field of global education in Tyrol (e.g. Südwind Tirol, Caritas Welthaus) and an outdoor excursion to Stubaital.
