Participants are able to realise different aspects of leadership and teamwork. They are able to involve others (team members, staff) in a way that makes it easier for them to contribute. They are able to build on or synthesise the contribution of others and are able to motivate, encourage and guide staff/team members. They are able to identify and acknowledge conflicts and work to resolve them.

While playing a team management simulation computer game (Fallout Shelter), the participants train their ability to pay attention to the strengths and weaknesses of employees and assign them appropriate tasks. In an interactive coaching session, theoretical concepts of team management are taught and tested practically in groups.

The VERSA concept combines playing selected video games with interactive coaching sessions. During the coaching sessions, participants receive background information about the skill of interest, and how to train it. In addition, the knowledge is tested in short group activities and the participants can share personal experiences. This enables them to approach the video game with a mindset focused on training, and to benefit from it as much as possible.
The participants are free to manage their playing time, they have to reach a minimum of 12 hours within three months.
The concept is explained during the Introduction Session and participants receive technical support during the course.

Participants must actively participate in the sessions and play the computer game Fallout Shelter for at least 12 hours (at home with free time allocation).

The game runs only on Windows PCs not under Mac or Linux.

The participants register to an online platform which tracks the progress in the games. A Discord channel will be used to facilitate continuous exchange between the participants. Online sessions will be held in BigBlueButton, Miro will be used for collaborative work and exchange.

The course is an Aurora Alliance (https://www.uibk.ac.at/en//international/aurora/) event. Students of all Aurora universities (incl.
