Learning Outcome:

Sensitise to environmental factors that influence researchers in their questions, methods and theories, and thus in their scientific work.

Contents:

Within the seminar, scholars working on the doctoral theses of the students will be examined as 'children of their time'.

Methods:

In keynote speeches, the participants are to present their view of the scholar they have selected. In the run-up to the keynote presentation, two relevant academic papers by the selected scholar are to be chosen and read by all participants as compulsory reading in preparation for the seminar session. Against the backdrop of the keynote speech, the two papers will then be discussed between the fellows and the faculty.
