Discussion of central claims and arguments in contemporary philosophy of mind.

The problem of consciousness is at the center of modern philosophy. The question of its origin, its nature and its relation to bodily processes is a major concern not only for philosophers, but also for neuroscientists and cognitive scientists.
In this lecture we will discuss central claims and arguments in contemporary philosophy of consciousness or mind. The goal is to provide students with the tools needed to take a stand on the problem of consciousness themselves.

Lecture with discussion.
