winter semester 2023/2024 | Last update: 03.10.2023 | Place course on memo listAfter attending the seminar, participants will be familiar with selected texts and themes of Thomas Aquinas. They have also become acquainted with methods that are suitable for interpreting the texts and for dealing with the positions represented in them.
2024 will be the year of a double Aquinas anniversary: the 800th anniversary of his birth and the 750th anniversary of his death. For this reason, a conference at the PTH is planned for March 2024. In preparation for this, we will discuss central texts and topics of St. Thomas in this seminar. In this way we will practice techniques of text interpretation and argument analysis. Knowledge of Latin is not required but is useful. The text selection and literature will be presented at the beginning of the semester.
