Ability for deepened explanation of selected topics of economic and social history including a historically grounded analysis of the present.

In 2015, the United Nations agreed on the "Agenda 2030", the sustainable development goals (SDGs). How did it happen, what is it about, and how do the goals interact? How is the actual situation and what historical developments did take place? What are supporting and adverse factors? And what has all this to do with us?

Crucial prerequisite for participation are interest in the topic and openness for an interdisciplinary approach. Participation in the connected lecture is recommended (and necessary if the whole module is to be completed).

Participation in the first unit at October 3 (or excuse in advance) is compulsory to confirm your enrolment. To enter the PS later is also possible in case of free capacities, but the only way to achieve that is to participate in the Sowi-Computeranmeldung.

Students from programs other than economics, especially from sociology, political science and history, are explicitly welcome due to the interdisciplinary character of the course. In these cases, enrollment for the PS is also necessary online, later enrollment in person will NOT be possible.
