Introduction to philosophy, its topics and various subfield (metaphysics, epistemology, ethics etc.), and its methods.

Parts of the course programme will also be devoted to the practical issues of studying philosophy, e.g. writing seminar papers, academic citation, etc.

A selected assortment of topics and themes from the history of philosophy as well as from contemporary philosophy will serve as a basis for a general introduction to philosophy, including its standard, methods, and peculiarities as an academic discipline.
