The students should get to know the different education-relevant approaches in Islamic mysticism and connect them with the current religious educational approaches. They should be able to relate the term Sufism to the initiatic path and spiritual knowledge and explain the relationship between master and disciple.

Important mystical thoughts on the subject of Islamic mysticism and on Sufism as a path and knowledge. Presentation of mystical personalities, currents, ideas and works dealing with the subject of Islamic education; especially the relationship between master and disciple in Sufism. Comparison of different spiritual-didactic approaches. Points of connection to current religious education concepts.
