Learning Outcome:

Students develop skills in how critical analyses, theoretical strands or approaches can be derived from the positions presented.

Contents:

In the course, students learn about the political, ideological, artistic and philosophical contexts of architecture, urban planning and landscape from the late 19th century to the interwar period.
The focus of the course is the topic of reform, i.e. the efforts of architects and other participants in socio-cultural discourses to introduce improvements to and in our (built) living environments.

Assessment:

Written, electronic examination procedure in the form of a single-choice test; "online-test"
ONLY THE USE OF A LAPTOP IS PERMITTED! (no tablets, iPads etc.)
