After completing the courses VO + UE Programming Language 1, the participants are able to use MATLAB to solve mathematical and engineering problems, to visualize data and calculation results and to develop user-friendly graphical user interfaces for calculation programs.

  • Working with matrices (tables) and vectors 
  • Visualizing mathematical functions, data and calculation results 
  • Writing your own MATLAB functions 
  • Using control structures (for, if, while, switch) 
  • Reading and writing files 
  • Introduction to object-oriented programming (OOP) 
  • Creation of graphical user interfaces (Matlab APPs)
  • Writing Matlab programs in the practice sessions with the support of the instructor
  • Writing programs as homework and submission in OLAT
  • Two practical exams (7.12.23 12:00-14:00 and 25.01.24 12:00-14:00) in which given tasks have to be solved by programming. 
  • Programming and submission of exercises in OLAT (homework)
  • Slides that can be downloaded weekly from OLAT.
course will be recorded and broadcast live

The exercises of group 0 and group 4 will be given in English.
