By the end of this course, students will be able to:  

-          Communicate the strategic importance of Business Intelligence in the modern business environment.  

-          Determine how to prioritize and manage Business Intelligence initiatives  

-          Identify and evaluate the quality of information sources.  

-          Identify and construct the appropriate data mining technique for a variety of situations.  

-          Discuss databases and data warehouses.  

-          Propose a business intelligence solution for a given situation.  

Business Intelligence and Analytics: This course is an introduction to the theories, methodologies, and technologies to develop, store, share, and apply actionable business information. 

Prerequisite: MANG 3778. 

 

We will use R and RStudio which are powerful tools for data analysis, visualization, and modeling, and have been widely used in various industries for business intelligence purposes. We will start with simple illustrations to introduce participants to the basics and gradually build up skills for more in-depth usage of R in business intelligence.
