Basic knowledge of issues and theories of human rights as well as the ability to present the same in written and oral form in an understandable way; training of ethical problem awareness.

In this seminar we are concerned with major problems and theories in the field of philosophy of human rights which will be elaborated in a systematic manner. These include: The origins of human rights (thought); human rights between morality, law and politics; foundations of human rights; universality vs. relativity of human rights; religions/cultures and human rights; contemporary human rights problems in detail
