They sharpen their logical thinking, deepen their understanding of their own language and widen their perception of foreign forms of expression through their encounter with the structures and forms of expression of the foreign language.
Aramaic is spoken since 3,000 years. From a popular language for worship and religion in Ancient Syria, Aramaic became one of the most important language in the Near East from Egypt to India in the 6th c.BCE. It is considered to be the first world languages. Students will get basic knowledge of the grammar of a language of the fringe and contact zone; reading of easy texts in this language.
The course is intended to be a face-to-face course with Power-Points.
Written exam.
