Women dressed as knights who want to teach their husbands a lesson, a woman who makes a fool of Aristotle in front of others, and nuns who fight over a penis walking around. Minor poetry is full of funny, quirky, wicked and cunning women. In the seminar, we want to use gender theory to explore the question of the extent to which these female figures are attributed agency, i.e. the power to act and be effective, or whether misogynistic patterns are merely activated.
