Students know the specific clinical picture of fibromyalgia and the diagnostic criteria as well as the symptoms, etiology, global distribution and theoretical approaches to the cause of the disease. They will gain an insight into related comorbidities and different intervention methods. Students deal in depth with current research articles and benefit from peer learning. They will learn the areas of application and possible applications of different intervention methods as well as their advantages and disadvantages and will be able to critically reflect on all aspects.

- Chronic pain and fibromyalgia syndrome (symptoms, etiology, course, distribution, diagnosis)

- Dealing with chronic pain patients (patients with fibromyalgia)

- Deepening in related comorbidities

- State-of-the-art research

- Intervention methods, possible applications, areas of application, advantages and disadvantages of different methods

- difficult siutations and challenges (personal, interpersonal, ethical) as well as critical reflection

The acquisition of knowledge takes place in a practical way on the basis of case studies, self-awareness and the integration of current specialist literature. A multimodal approach is used as the teaching method, which consists of short theoretical inputs, practical exercises, group work, case studies, discussions, etc.
