Knowledge of the origins, philosophical background and psychotherapeutic techniques of psychodrama

At the centre of psychodrama is the action-guided exploration of inner and outer realities and the encounter in the here and now.

The aim of the course is to convey the origins and philosophical background of psychodrama as well as  basic concepts of psychodrama. Furthermore, basic techniques of psychodrama (e.g., role reversal, role change, doubling, mirroring and inner monologue) and their effects will be introduced. Finally, the differences between psychodramatic individual and group therapy are elaborated and the application areas of psychodrama in therapeutic and non-therapeutic contexts (e.g. supervision) are presented.
