Students acquire skills to Einstz of quantum mechanical methods , modeling methods and simulation techniques for the calculation of material properties of all types and learn the most important approaches for creating quantitative structure / electronic structure -property relationships as a basis for the design of new chemical compounds or materials .
A method for treating correlated and strongly correlated systems ; Quantum theory of many-electron systems ; Numerical methods for the solution of the Schrödinger equation ; Density functional theory ; Methods for the treatment of highly - korrelieten systems ; Examples
Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
