Students gain practical knowledge for production and testing of dosage forms based on pharmacopoeia methods. Students will learn how to produce high quality medicines as possible through proper use of supplies and the combination of basic operations and assess their quality. Learning the basic principles of the formulation, obtaining the basic principles of sterile working, learning Pharmacopoeia techniques for drug delivery, learning the practical method for the preparation of formulations, taking account of the European Pharmacopoeia application of legal principles when dealing with prescriptions and addictive substances.

Preparation of capsules, granulates, tablets, solutions, coated tablets in the pharmacy scale. Significant steps and calculations are demonstrated in small groups and implemented by each individual. Preparation of formulations according to prescription requirements, evaluation compliant to the pharmacopoeia.

Practical exercises in the laboratory. Lectures, practical laboratory exercises, problem-oriented issues, individual and group work. Literature research, formulation prepared on prescription according to packaging, labeling, documentation.
