After completing the course, students will be able to handle measurement and automation tasks using single-board computers. These tasks include:
- choosing appropriate sensors and actuators
- establishing a hardware connection to a single-board computer
- generating a measurement or control program to conduct the given task
- troubleshooting regarding hard- and software of the given task
- establishing a connection to a host computer for data logging
- performing documentation and version control of the course projects

- introduction to single-board computers
- reading and controlling of discrete and analogue in- and outputs
- introduction to data types and control structures
- implementation of program logic
- software design in regards to embedded systems
- connection of modules such as acceleration, light, temperature or humidity sensors using ready-made libraries
- debugging
- documentation and version control
- data transfer to a host computer

lecture, supervised execution of course projects, autonomous execution of home assignments

weekly home assignments, one oral exam in form of the presentation of a home assignment
