On completion of this course the student is able to

• Understand the relevant processes in urban drainage
• Know how these processes are interlinked
• Know how these processes are desribed in numerical models
• Use different commercial and open-source software products to model the different subsystems (with special respect to Austrian guidelines)

Methods and concepts of the design or urban drainage systems wich a special focus on conceptual and hydrodynamic simulation (including model calibration, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis) 

lectures; home assignments; exercises and workshops in computer lab
