Basic knowledge of key topics in bioethics, especially at the end of human life.
This lecture series is designed to discuss the ethical challenges at the end of human life. Its central topics are: the dignity of human life, self-determined death (including autonomy as a principle of medical ethics), living wills, advance care planning, the challenge of dementia, assisted suicide, passive and active euthanasia and the question of how to die well.
