winter semester 2024/2025 | Last update: 30.09.2024 | Place course on memo listStudents are able to analyze the dynamics of resistance and persecution in totalitarian systems; They have a wide range of ideological critical skills in politics, historiography and literature.
In this lecture series, the experiences of young people who resist in totalitarian systems and are exposed to persecution are analyzed from different disciplinary perspectives - in particular contemporary history, literary studies, political science and trauma research. Spatially, the series concentrates on examples with regional connections to Tyrol, but also extends to Russia and Cambodia; temporally, it focuses on totalitarian systems from the 20th century to the present.
