Students understand the relationship between international law, European Union law and the national law of a nation state and can independently solve legal questions in a multilevel (legal) system.

Presentation of the relationship between international law, European Union law and the national law of a nation state using the Republic of Austria as an example.

Building on the foundations, the individual rules and mechanisms of the interaction between international law, European Union law and the national law of a nation state are deepened in form of an interactive lecture and shall subsequently be illustrated and rehearsed by means of applying the law to concrete cases that are presented by the students followed by a discussion in plenum.

Short presentations and active participation of the students during the course as well as a written examination at the end of the semester.
