Participants shall get acquainted with the South Tyrolean Autonomy.

Sources of law of the autonomy of South Tyrol /Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen; organs and form of government; legislative and administrative powers; financial autonomy; relations with the central Government; relations with the EU; local bodies in South Tyrol; specific measures aimed at protecting the minorities: school; use of language in court and in the public administration; languages groups.

Classes are based on a combination of lectures and of group discussion, guests can be invited.

The final exam wil be oral and held in German and Italian.

To be mentioned  in class, materials will be provided via OLAT

Students enrolled in the 2001 study programm: the classes cover the part dedicated to the Autonomy of South Tyrol within the exam of Italian Constitutional Law.
