winter semester 2024/2025 | Last update: 03.10.2024 | Place course on memo listStudents will be familiarised with multilingualism with English as today's growing language contact phenomenon and multilingual development as a dynamic and complex process.
In this seminar, English will be analysed as part of today's multilingualism and multilingual systems. Socio- and psycholinguistic aspects as well as educational science perspectives on multilingualism will be discussed.

Students are required to attend regularly; presence at the first session, in particular, is mandatory. Other requirements for positive assessment are: language proficiency adequate to the 2nd Abschnitt level, active participation in discussions, presentations (with handout) and a written research paper (stylesheet for linguistics available on Institute’s website.
