Insight into political systems and theories as well as international politics; basic understanding of media and media linguistics; recognizing the importance of language in political processes
Presentation and discussion of political ideas, political systems and political theories; discussion of international relations (international politics);
Insight into the diversity of media and media linguistics as well as multimodal communication;
Presentation of language as a semiotic system; discussion of orality and writing; highlighting and discussing of linguistic phenomena relevant to politics, such as metaphors and frames; explanation of image-text relations and basic principles of discourse analysis
Presentations by the lecturer, discussion and small presentations by the students
students' presentations, homework, written exam
